My buddy has the 08 f250 king ranch and its been giveing him a ton of probs latley everything from the oil cooler to the power steering pump well 5500 bucks later (truck has over 100k on it and is out of warrenty) he thought he had it straightend out until yesterday when it left him on the side of I-95 he said all of a sudden it lost power and the tach was jumping from 2 to 6 six grand then it just shut off.... ford is tellin him its the flywheel can that cause a truck to do that?

Based upon your discription...that is a bunch of crap.

Sound more like something electrical to me.

Look at the pcm connections, look at those wires and make sure the pins are ok.

Start there.
