Looking to trade up for a new 250 but the truck I found doesn't have fog lights. Wondering if the plugs are there in the harness or if there is a seperate harness. And if the switch is just changed out. Was going back to the dealer friday to finalize everything so I haven't talk to him yet about them adding them. Was going to do it myself if they want an arm and leg to do it.

My 2000 didn't come with them, I installed them a year later. I replaced the switch on the dash and the fog light harness just plugged into the main lighting harness. It wasn't a big deal. But it was 11 years ago, so maybe I've forgotten.

I installed the factory fog lights myself and it was pretty straightforward. It's completely plug and play. The kit included the lamps, bezels, harness, and switch. The lights plug into the harness, which in turn plugs into another capped harness behind the bumper. The wiring harness has snaps on it that go into existing holes as well. Swapping out the light switch is equally easy. Make sure you unhook the batteries before you start. You will have to remove some braces in the bumper in order to gain access to get the bezels in and out.

I bought the kit from Parts Guy Ed, which happens to operate out of my local dealership, so I was able to pick the parts up right at the dealer parts counter.

There's also a kit for trucks without auto headlamps.

I figured it was that easy. I tried looking under my truck today but couldn't really see the harness good enough. Thanks for the help guys. I'll see if the dealer will give me a deal on the kit.
