The dealer where my van has been serviced for the last 5 months during which time has had numerous repairs to the engine all under warranty and often misdignosed has no 6.0 liter certified techs come to find out. Is it my job to inquire if there is one or the dealers responsibilty to disclose that to me before the work was done. Ford is paying for the warranty work i think that they would require a certified tech. Something doesn't add up to me just wondering what others thought. By the way my rear main seal repair held up 120 miles or 1 week to the day. Wondering what to do next.

Sorry for your troubles and I agree with you 100%, the dealer should have someone trained properly instead of using the by-guess by-gosh medthod of repair. I refuse to work for a Ford [or any other dealer] becasue the work is far to hard and the paycheques far to small.

I recently purchased a new Honda inverter generater and the damn thing smoked every time you started it. Actually it smoked an embarrassing amout at times. I just wanted a new generater that didnt smoke, but the dealer refused to replce it and said his mechanic would fix it. I asked if he had been schooled in inverter gen repair and I was told NO. But I am sure he can do something the guy told me. I thought ya screw it up even worse. I kept using the generater and my wife defrosted a roast in the microwave for half an hour and the cycling effect and repeated heavy load casued the rings to seat properly and the thing never smoked again. Why couldnt the dealer tell me that?

Anyways I think were very fortunate to have a site like this and that Ford techs visit and offer some great advise and help. WHen I was a teen I thought I knew everything, now I know nothing and am glad we have sites like this to come to for help. You ever see an RV help forum that an RV tech chimes in to offer advise? Hahahahahahahah lmao like that would ever happen.

I suppose we should start asking if the person at the hospital is a doctor...lol...

For now on, I will ask if the person working on my car and truck is certified.
