I agree, the Ford Commercial Truck website is a little disappointing.

I believe there was a change of the guard in that area when the Louisville line was sold off though.

Two things. First, download the F-450 brochure from the CommFord site.

Then download the order guide from the Download Center at www.sunrisefordfleet.com

With those two documents, you shouldn't have very many unanswered questions about the Ford part of the F-450.

The beds and towbodies are covered above - in the sticky post at the top of this forum. Lots of details about beds and towbodies and other aftermarket options from the ship-thru upfitters as well as from several other upfitters.

After all that, if you still have questions, that's what TheDieselStop is for. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif

RRose,

A number of us that participate on this Fourm have had F450/550's for a number of years. I would be pleased to answer any question you may have or direct you to a source to have the answer.

You'll want to look at the Ford 2006 F-Series Source Book for complete
vehicles specs. The dealers have them in big binders. My dealer
has several out in the show room and, of course, their fleet sales people
have them. There's an online version at the Ford commercial trucks
website, but you need to be dealer employee or a qualified fleet
buyer with an ID and password to access it.

The Source Book has very detailed information on the vehicle features,
options, power train specs, dimensions, and especially the curb, cargo,
payload and gross weight specs.

In the past I was able to make copies of the pertinent Source Book
pages so that I could study the specs at home in my leisure before
putting my order together.
