I have an 1990 L7000 dump truck that suddenly and unexpectedly stopped running as if shut off while going 55mph down a state highway the other day. I nearly had a wreck! Easily could happen when the motor shuts off with no warning.
After checking the situation out I found the relay that feeds the solenoid that holds the fuel line open failed if it got jarred.
The dealer had to order the part, and the replacement is NOT like the original.
Anyway, if you have unexplained shutdowns, check the relay that feeds the solenoid.
