Truck wouldnt start when hot we found that the IPR had worn out orings when we got it taken out, thank you for everyones help here on that problem. Well he had the fuel bowl already out of the way so we decided to take the HPOP off the truck and go ahead and replace it now since the truck has 250000 miles on it for preventive measures. We got everything off and cleaned up everything and will get the new parts tomorrow at the international dealer in town. Well we found a spring in the valley when we were cleaning it out and we dont know where it fell out of last night when we were taking it apart. It is a about 1/2" long and has a small metal plate on one end. If you guys could help us figure out where it goes we would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, We took off the fuel bowl and all related parts and the HPOP, and IPR.
Thanks again.

Just a WAG on my part, but possibly it is one of the "check valves found at the HPOP/Hose-to-the-head joint. It's been awhile since I had the hoses off, though. Cheers!

If it is as Patrick said, you might notice that it cranks over a little bit longer before it fires. If it runs okay and starts okay it shouldn't be a problem if it is the check valve.

That is exactly what it was thank you very much. We got it back in there so it shouldnt be a problem. We got the truck all put back together late last night and we were letting the RTV set today before he tries and starts it. Hopefully it will fix the problems he was having before. Thank you very much for all the help.
