What ive got is a 95 f250 ext cab long bed, Has huge frame flexing. Its not cracked or anything. Just when on uneven groundyou can watch her flex pretty good, are there any after market suppors that can be added? With the fuel tanks there they are im not seeing the ability to add suppors, Could possibly box the frame?

I've also read that much of the flex is the (soft and old) cab mounts flexing, thus causing your mirrors (and you) to move around relative to the bed (which is fixed to the frame), so while what you see in the mirrors appears to be the frame flexing it's actually the cab flexing. Polyurethane cab mounts will reduce this greatly, I'm told, though the ride gets more lively. I'll know as soon as I can take a day or two off of work to do the mounts (and soundproofing while I have the seats and carpet out.) I'll post what I find ASAP.

I agree, flex is normal. If it doesn't flex back and sags, then worry /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif There's an 18 wheeler flatbed in the neighborhood that parks half in a drainage ditch. The bed has about 10 inches of warp in the middle that flexs back when he pulls out.

Have you checked the bolts that hold the bed down yet?

When i bought my 95 last year, i noticed a lot of flexing on the passenger side while out on the test drive. I didn't think much of it, all my other trucks have flexed, but not that much.

Anyway, a few months later when i was changing the fuel tanks, i noticed the front passenger side bolt was loose, the nut had completely fallen off, so the bed would flex a lot on that side, more than normal.

Just another idea

The rear bed bolts pass thru a U shaped tab welded to the bottom of the bed instead of sitting flat on the frame. It Looks like it's about 12 gauge steel. If the beds not loose, another thing to check is the mounting points. Have seen a few rust out on Ohio trucks and get loose, then it crushes down when tightened. How are the springs and perches?
