Noticed the other day the drivers side front brake rotor had some cracks in it. So I decided to replace both rotors, and pads, and front bearings while I am in there.

Dissasembly went ok. Now my problem is that the wheel studs are pressed through the brake rotor its self and then through the hub for the wheel. I also have a feeling the hub has frozen its self up inside the brake disc over time. How do I separate the two? I don't have a shop press.

Also there is a little lock washer that clips half way around the axle shaft and then slides into a tab in the hub nut. One of them I bent all to hell. Having trouble finding a replacement.

Can't help you on the lock washer in the lockout hub....

Thread the lug nuts on the studs in the hub/rotor and give them all a good sharp rap with a big hammer to knock them out. Then tap around the rotor and the rotor should separate from the hub.

Set the new rotor onto the hub making sure the lug nut holes all line up pretty close. Then using a brass drift pound the studs in until they're completely against the head.

Took me about five minutes to disassemble and re-assemble each hub when I did my brake job.

Yes, the F350 should be the same hub & rotor.

Been a while since I did mine but you have to block up the inside of the hub, the side where grease seal is and the heads of the studs were, and pound the rotor off towards the grease seal end. Wire brush the hub good with a wire wheel brush in a drill before installing the new rotor.

Like I said before, make sure you get the new rotor lined up really close with the stud holes in the hub because you won't turn the rotor on the hub, you'll have to carefully tap it back off the hub.

Use lots of wood blocks to keep from putting dents in everything. I got all my replacement rotors & pads, grease seals, etc from my local Ford Store. They had the best prices too. I was less than happy with the factory rotors. My right frt rotor warped pretty bad and the inside surface was solid RUST over about a third of the surface.
