I am getting ready to do the front pads on my '01 F250 2WD. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif I got 50K on the original pads, so, why would I not use OEM pads for $86 from on line source? 50K is pretty good for brakes, yes? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
Thanks as always...

$86 for just the front!! Either brake pads have went up a bunch in the past two years or that's an awful high price, I about fell out of my chair. Go to a regular parts store, you can probably get lifetime pads for under half that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Hillco,
I was in the dealer getting the oil and filter changed and asked the parts guy how much for front pads. They are $132 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif from the dealer. The $86 is from Fordpartsonline.com. I was just as shocked as you were!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/phoney.gif

Man, ya'll must be tough on brakes, I have 84k on mine and they still look great, and that is with about a 1/3 of that towing.

Paul_B,
I don't think I am particularly hard on them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif I just want to get a set to have when I need it. I will be ordering on-line so it will take time. I want to be ready when the time comes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif I will be getting new tires real soon so I will have a chance to look close at the pads. Just trying to be prepared. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
