[Labs2016!!]

So I have replaced all the ball joints, front hub assemblies on both sides, brake calipers and pads. When going over a hole or when I make a tight turn there is a loud clunk...bang. I can feel it in the front end. I took it to the shop on base and they said everything is tight and there is nothing broken as far as motor mounts and stuff like that. They said the u joints are good. They said it must be internal. Does anyone have any ideas where I can start?

Could be a few things.

Is there any grinding at all after the bump or just the clunk?

If have to guess away bar end links, leaf spring bushings, trac bar bushings.

LS Diff problems?

Tight turns and old diff fluid in a LS will clunk I believe.

I have had both diff fluid changed as well as transfer case. I am at Fairchild AFB. I know the drag links are bad I just have not had the chance to switch all the out yet. Could that be it?

Even though they said it was tight, I would Jack the front end up and check it again.
Especially the ball joints.

Sway bar end links! Chased that one myself for a while and didn't realize how much those little guys do until I finally replaced them!

I agree - check the end links AND the sway bar bushings on the axle.

I agree I chased the same issue and it was the end links and sway bar bushings. But I ended up rebuilding the front end before finding the real issue.
