I had a '74 F-150 4x2 that did the same thing. What the dealer did was install a steering dampener on the linkage, a thingy that looks like a shock laid sideways. You don't say if your is 4x2 or 4x4. If it is a 4x4 it probably already has one that has worn out.

BTW, you'd get better response to this in the '94 - '97 forum.

Hi, familyman, and Welcome! to Ford-Diesel.com.

There's lots of help available on this website. You just have to post your question in the right forum. We have several different forums available. You posted this question in the forum that's reserved for discusions of website operations. The proper forum for your question is the '94-'97 PowerStroke forum, so I'll move this thread to that forum. Look for additional responses there.

Help! We are experiencing major problems with our 1994 Ford Turbo Diesel truck. The front end is vibrating totally out of control when the truck accelerates around curves. It wants to sometimes when it hits a large pothole but mainly it's been around curves only. It is a violent shaking that can take the steering wheel right out of your hands. Any help out there??
