I just changed my first fuel filter... It was really black with dirt.

First issue.. I bought Wix filters on ebay #33518. They are slightly smaller than the filter that was in the truck already. IS this normal?

Second issue... the wix I bought assumes you have the filter cap separate. When I took the old filter out the cap was attached and I could not remove it from the old filter.

I had to run out and buy another filter from Auto Zone.. luber-liter or something like that.

Can I find and buy a cap for the wix filters I have. How much? I am sure the number on the Wix is correct, why is it smaller?

You can purchase a cap seperatly from Napa or Ford.
