Hello all! So i've had this issue since i bought the truck about 8 months ago, but anyway everytime i go to fuel up my truck it only fills to 3/4 full? My fuel mileage seems to suck as i only seem to get around 260 to 290 miles on a tank of fuel but i am just going off of mileage and guessing when i need to fuel up since my guage is not going to full and i do not like my low fuel light coming on so i always fuel up before it comes on. I will say that the fuel guage does seems to work its way down to Empty properly so that part seems ok. Could my float on the sending unit really be getting stuck at 3/4 tank every time i fill??? Also another thing is my speedometer guage sticks at 25 mph until i get up beyond 25mph and then tge speedometer works fine but when i slow down to 25mph or less it just sticks at 25 mph. Could it be my guage cluster??? I would appreciate any help i can get as it sucks right now having to guess when i need to fuel.

Due to multiple issues with gauges in the cluster, I'd suggest obtaining a substitute cluster and plugging that in. If your problems disappear, then you have your solution.

If you have a 99-01 SD 7.3 with the mechanical odo, I have a couple of cluster spares.
