Fuel leak - fuel pump

Hello,

I have the truck over at the stealership trying to track down an oil and fuel leak. They said the fuel leak is coming from the fuel pump and want to charge $700+ to replace it. I have read on here about people commonly having problems with a leaking fuel pump, but tried searching, but couldn't find much. Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of where it could be leaking from, or what common leaks are associated with the fuel pump area?

They are running a dye test on the oil leak, so no answers on that yet.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pump is a pain to change but not impossible to do in the drive way. But I suspect since you took it in to have them find the leak you are willing to have it done. Looks like labor is going to be 450 bucks on it! Dang man, but to each his own....
The way I found my leaking fuel pump was to wipe it down around the outlet (large nut on back end of pump) run the truck and feel, ahhh wet again.
I would question wether you have an oil AND fuel leak. But the dye test will show that I guess.
