What size is the hose from the filter houseing? I have a fuel leak that is up in the valley of death by the filter housing. Just want to get the hose before I take it all apart.

Thanks, had a fuel leak at the two gaskets at the high pressure side as they were leaking. This slowed it way down, but it is still dripping down the back. I am not sure if it is the hoses or what, but I had a drain pan under it before I fixed the other gaskets I had a drain pan under it and got about 1/4" of fuel in the bucket in 2 days. So I think that it is a line from the filter housing?

Finding the source of a fuel leak in the valley can sometimes be pretty tough. I would clean up the valley the best you can and then go for a short 10-15 minute drive and then see if you can spot where the leak is coming from. If not, tie a dry rag around the fuel pump and go for another short drive. If the rag is wet, then the fuel pump weep hole is leaking and it is time for a new pump. If not, then most likely it has something to do with the fuel filter canister. It might be easier to remove the housing and inspect it really good around all the sensors. Personally have not heard of the hoses leaking but not to say that isn't your problem.

Good luck,

Griz

dont forget to check the filter blockage vacuum switch on the FPR side of the bowl. those like to leak. some help that leak by snugging it a little but dont overtighten or you'll strip the threads very quick. i beleive you can unplug the sensor and block it with an 1/8" NPT plug

Where is the weep hole on the fuel pump. It seems much drier in front of the pump and seems to be leaking at what I thought was the banjo fitting on the rear of the fuel pump. Is the weep hole on this side of the pump on the bottom?
