OK I took my fuel bowl off today to clean it up and I took the regulator loose and the screen was nasty so I cleaned it. So I decided to pull it completely out using a pair of vise grips. I pulled it out and was just as trashy on that side as well. Was cleaning up and run across this yellow ball does it go behind the screen or was it just on my shop floor already.

No. Lol
I still have mine at the other house. I can grab it in a few days and check for sure. Maybe it's sort of a anti-drain valve.
Don't think it'd make much difference, but mine is a 94.

The ball is part of the fpr. I think its a snorkel-type valve - it allows air to escape the fuel bowl (via the return fuel line) but blocks liquid fuel from passing. But I'm not certain about that :)

When putting things back together, the ball goes in first.

You said it goes in first do you mean it goes between the screen and bowl or behind the screen in the regulator like I have it in the pic?
