I finished my fuel modification and put my fuel pressure sensor back on and truck use to idle at 70psi now gauge says 55psi. I also added a snubber and put the fuel pressure sensor on the bottom port on fuel bowl but I also did the cnc 4 line mod so its connected to that so the fuel has to go through a couple other fittings before it gets to fuel sensor so would that be why im getting lower fuel pressure. Also my exhaust sensor is moving around alot but other times it acts as it should so should I get a new one and if so where thanks.

Did you pull the fuel pressure regulator apart in your upgrade? Did you change the spring? Any trouble getting it seated on reinstallation?

As to the EGT - I have an ISSPRO, although Autometer is an excellent choice.

I have glow shift gauges unfortunately and yes i pulled fuel pressure regulator apart and only thing i changed was this plastic sleeve thing with a metal one but in the diesel o rings picture of new spring it dosent show that coming with it so I just put the metal one in since thats what came with my new fuel bowl and kept everything else the same. Hopefully that makes sense and with those sensors go with my glow shift gauges?

I have not heard the greatest reviews on Glowshift gauges. That may be where the problem lies.

What does it drop to under load? I see you have 160/100 injectors.

Did you order the complete fpr rebuild?

I also added a snubber and put the fuel pressure sensor on the bottom port on fuel bowl
Let me ask you this, have you ever cleaned out the bowl?
I bet some junk dropped out and could be clogging the snubber.
Also (imo) running a electric pump, you shouldn't need a snubber.

I know guy before me bought the glowshift stuff amd ive had nothing but problems with there products would never buy from them terrible products and im not sure about fpr rebuild because guy before me installed it he got it from diesel o rings and they only had that 1 option I thought. I just bought a hole new fuel bowl so it cant be that. Well only reason for buying snubber was becasue I had 3 glow shift sensors go bad on me and now egt sensor trasns temp sensors went out on me. So in my opinion I would never ever buy from glow shift

Are you using the stock pressure regulator (other than the spring)? If so, the needle has a soft seat on it that can get torn up and not seal like it should. That could be the cause of your lower than expected pressure. The needle could be seated, but still leaking by. I've seen a couple of instances of that happening. Unfortunately, Ford only sells the complete regulator repair kit, not just the poppet (needle).

Did the new bowl come with a new for? or did you put your old one in the new bowl.

Not only does the brass plunger wear out the sleeve it fits in wears out. And the orings don't seal well either after 100k miles.

What is so important about having 70psi anyway is it proven to increase mpg or is it for performance. I havent noticed any performance changes really but I dont pay to much attention to it to notice I guess. But would like to fix if it is worth fixing thanks

Adequate fuel pressure is important to keep the fuel from being aerated as it enters the injectors. When the plunger comes down on aerated fuel, it compresses the air before it can actually inject fuel, so injection is slightly delayed as well as the actual fuel quantity in the injector is less than capacity if it's aerated.

Aerated doesn't necessarily mean there's air in it, but that some of the fuel may have vaporized instead of staying in liquid state. But either air or vapor in fuel is not good.

Low fuel pressure can also cause the infamous 7.3L "cackle".

65 psi seems to be the sweet spot for fuel pressure.
