I have a 2010 6.4l and after changing the oil, and fuel filters it drove fine for a day and then the next day it died pulling out of the driveway. I primed it like normal to remove any air and it will start after 20 times of doing that then die in 30 seconds.

I am hoping it is the fuel sending unit in the tank. I got the loan a tool from Orielly but tbh I do not know how to use it and there is no instructions.

Any help would be awesome, I need my truck back asap or figure something else out.

I would start over as if I were changing the filters. (You did use Motorcraft filters, right?) Pull those new ones out and reinstall, being very careful to get them back in correctly. You are going to have to prime again anyway, so nothing lost there. Maybe have the charger on the batteries while you're doing it just to get a little juice built up.

Make sure the drain valve on the lower filter housing is completely closed.

When you say 'sending unit in the tank' are you meaning the pump? I don't see how a sending unit would do this.

Yeah it drove for a day, that is what is throwing me off. I will take them out and reinstall them tomorrow. It will now start after 20 or so times of turning the truck to on and then off, but then it dies after 30 seconds. I am wondering if it could be the fuel sending unit in the tank. My wife ran the truck dang near dry, that is what I thought the issue was since I had changed the oil and fuel filters the day before, it ran for a day and then the next day it died.

No sending unit thing in the fuel tank. You have a lift pump that sucks fuel out of tank from a pickup tube. I think your truck is sucking air someplace and that someplace is something you touched. Here is a
about bleeding air.

There is a pickup screen in the tank that's plastic, bell shaped and has a screen in the bottom. If it breaks (very common in older trucks), it stands the pickup tube 2" above the bottom of the tank. If you run the truck low on fuel, it'll draw air and the engine quits.

Simple way to check is to put 10 gallons of fuel in and re-prime the system. If it starts and runs properly, you'll have your answer. The bad part is that these pickup screens are not available separately. They are only serviced with the fuel sender for $400 or so.
