Where is the water/fuel drain? The manual says to drain this until clean fuel comes out ( 20-30 sec? ) every 5000 miles. I looked under the truck.. nothing obvious.

I did put a new fuel filter in ( the old one was brown and slightly sludgy ), noticed a drain valve at the 7 o'clock position. Opened that a few times.... but where does that drain to? nothing leaked, I can hear a faint gurgling as if something was flowing thru the distal tube. I only drained the filter housing a quarter of the way, since I didn't know where it was going... I stopped.

Thanks

Ok... saw the previous post about the same subject. Ehh.. should have looked first.

That yellow lever valve.... is that the valve the manual talks about opening and draining any potential water out of?

It should end up in a puddle on the driveway /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah the yellow valve will drain the fuel bowl. Just make sure to close it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Location of fuel water separator drain

I've tried to google the location of the drain for the fuel separator. This is the closest thing I came to it. I see the yellow lever up by the fuel bowl. I did open it. Nothing came out until I turned it over. My water in fuel light is coming on. Where is the drain and what is the procedure. Sorry to be repetitive but I couldn't find the previous post that mentioned the location.

Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

The yellow lever is the drain valve and the drain goes out the passenger side front of the bowl and down the front, passenger side of the engine, terminating below the CPS location (look from under the truck with a flashlight ... you should see an open-ended tube sticking straight down). Cheers!
