The interior fuse panel, lower left of steering colum, is decaled to identify the fuses and the ratings.

There's also a fuse panel in the engine compartment on the drivers side fender well. I cannot find any documentation on this panel in my CHILTON manuals. It may be referenced in the owners manual but that is not available. The fuses were inadvertently removed w/o noting the values positions. They run from 15 to 30 amps. Any buddy got a picture or diagram of this fuse panel with the amp ratings?

And I'm curious about the IDI (InDirect Injection) designation for these engines. Seems pretty direct to me - hi pressure from the timed and metered pump - to the injector! The injector, tho not in the combustion chamber itsel, hardly seems to warrant the term indirect. . . Perhaps the small chamber that the infector fires into is the reason? As I understand it this is a preheater vaporisaton chamber? I am also curious about the little removable slug in there, a delfector? Part of the heat mechanism? I had the heads off. When I put them back on I heard a small clink, like a washer or something had fallen into the cylinder. It was one of the slugs! That would not be nice if it went undetected and the engine was cranked and started. . . I spread a tiny bit of heavy grease on the slugs bore hole to stick it, and had a friend watch with a mirror as I lowered it down on the block. Enough to give you bad dreams.

Where was I - oh ya fuses. All I reaaly need is the values. Listy them from inboard (engine side) to outboard (fender side)?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm way out in the country and a trip to town is'nt commng up for a few days. hoping this is faster.

Those little slugs are pre combustion chambers, (indirect injection) not directly into the cylinders . Orientation of them is critical, the hole/spout better be in the correct location look at the old gasket and see the partial circle on it. I think you can Google for the owners manual, that will show the layout for the fuse panel's .

It's called the power distribution box. Here's the best quality pic I could find of it....
