well, this turbo is also known as the Hight Tech Turbo HTPS. It's manufactured by Turbonetics.

It fits perfectly in the stock location. No problems at all. It includes a new boot that connects the turbo inlet to the factory CCV vent bracket.

and the whistle is COMPLETELY different...and the surge is gone!

when you're running 30+ psi boost, it still pulls strong, and is it's turbo map!

I will try to get a video or sound bite of the turbo. But it's a little more muted than the factory Garrett Turbo. I would say that it sounds like the turbo is not working as hard to push larger amounts of air. that's true at 3-15 psi boost. But when you get near 20-30 psi, past the compressor map of the stock turbo, you really hear it spool..but not as shrill. More like a big rig sound to it.

Guys
We will be installing a Turbonetics "Torque Master" turbo assuming it shipped today, and doing a head to head comparison with a stock 2001 F250.

If time allows, we'll "borrow" Freddy's DI intercooler for some added stats.
