Hello All,
I have never spent any time up here as us 7.3 guys just seem to be slipping down the order of things around here. I had a weak moment and had seen a new SD on a sales lot here in town. Just had a thought I needed to get back here and move up to check out what my fellow Ford members were talking about. I also now know why the salesman who I told I would probably just keep my OBS and not trade it in almost hit the ceiling! Telling me that the 96 was probably just hanging on by a thread and there was no reason I should not just trade it to him that way it would not be my problem any more!! I wonder if someone else got that story too (like the guy who owned the SD). I really like the fact it drives more like a car than my OBS but that is little piece of mind setting on the side of the road with any number of problems that Ford just does not seem too interested in fixing.
Sorry Guys, I think I will just slink back down to the 94-97 Powerstroke Forum. I guess I might check back for the 6.7 who knows with 155,000 on mine perhaps it might have a few more miles in it!

I must say I have no idea what the purpose of this thread was. And the 08 doesn't ride like a car, it rides like a well engineered vehicle should ride. Hey if you still have the back to be able to ride in an OBS I say more power to ya, in fact you should buy the one my father has for sale (he couldn't stand feeling every dime in the road).

funny, im glad i sold my obs. everytime i ride in either of my brothers obs's i am glad i sold it too.
I'll take my power, my ride, my GREAT transmission, my warranty.... should I keep going?

The funny thing is that I have two friends one with a job 1 and one with a job 3 and both of them wish that they had kept their OBS's. One had a 95 and he traided it for a 04 and then the 04 for the 08 job 3. The other had a 97 that he traided for the 08 job 1. They both like the new rides but liked the older ones better for a truck.
