Hello... In process of doing much needed tune up on a 1992 f250 7.3, I replaced the glow plugs and wiring with ZD9s and international harness. Now my glow plug controller is messed up. With everything hooked up and key on, 12 volts at relay input/constant, there is 0 voltage at the GP relay output. However the resistor gets hot quickly! So the relay is putting out power but its being shorted to ground through glow plugs?? Could there be an other explanation? The glow plugs have never been used before...

I separated the international harness into two separate harnesses, one for sensors, glow plug controller and power for IP, and the other harness for glow plugs only. I shortened some wires and lengthened others on the sensor harness. No changes to the glow plug harness. Worked great.
I found that my glow plug controller was on its last cycle. Replaced it and all is well now.
