About 4 years ago I purchased a 86 F350 that had a 7.3 GP conversion. The motor was replaced at the beginning of spring, now I am having issues with cold starting. What I currently have in place is all brand new 6.9 auto lite GP in. The remote controller is on but I am unsure of the functionality. I purchased a new relay but I can't get it to open and send power. Could someone point me in the direction of a step by step diagram and instructions. I am at a total loss since I never saw the original system. I will not feel insulted is you spell it out for me... Thanks for the anticipated help. :thumbsup:

Well, first thing is, as is posted here many many times, Autolite glowplugs have a reputation for poor quality. The first step would probably be to try removing the glowplugs and inspect them for damage. If you run into any plugs that will not come out of the head easily, STOP and come back here, and search for Glow Plug Removal. If they won't come out, the tips are probably swelled and could break off and fall into the cylinder where they will cause severe damage.

Ooohhhh sorry to hear you got autolites in there. I would get them out asap and be careful as mentioned above. Get some motorcraft/beru
