Put an order in 3 weeks ago and got a VIN yesterday with a build date of the week of Sept 5th, hope they are well rested after Labor Day weekend.
Do they shut down for holidays like that.

Congrats on your F250 being scheduled and assigned a VIN! Yes, they do shut down production for the holidays. I can keep tabs on your order and research the latest status if send me a PM with your VIN or dealer name/dealer code & order number.

I ordered a 2012 F350 CC SRW XLT 6.7 on Aug 3d. On Sat, Aug 20th, my daughter and son-in-law came by with a new 2011 F350 CC SRW XLT 6.2. They had a lot of goodies on their's that I did not order. Decided I would like to add a couple to my order. Made a fast trip to dealer and sales manager said no problem if it has not been scheduled but if scheduled we can't make any changes. Pulled up info on computer and it showed already "bucked" with schedule date of 25th. Whow that is fast but what I ordered does not have anything on material hold. Looks like they are getting them out fast.

Found out mine got built today! When my dealer said eta 12th of next month I thought he meant October (since it's already almost sept) but nope. Got built a week earlier then I expected and will be here sept 12th. Well based on experience I'm expecting closer to the 19th.

BUILT TUESDAY

Dealer called, built Tuesday and scheduled to arrive on the 19th, yes it seems shipping is a backlog, have to get it on the train, then to Miami, then truck it to FtLaud. Now I really have to get rid of my Benz. Any one need a nice car? 2005 S-55 AMG, 81k miles, in perfect condition, 498 HP, and still gets 25 MPG on the road.:lol:

Now is the time when you really start going out of your mind with the whole waiting thing. You know the truck is just setting there pretty as can be and you are nowhere near it. That was the worst part. My 2012 arrived about a week and a half ago and I am loving every minute of it. Good luck and enjoy!

UPDATE

They don't bring them to Miami any more. The train stops in Stuart/ Ft Pierce, a new terminal, better distribution for the southern part of the state, b4 everything had to head norrth out of Miami. A few days away.:jester:

Mines in Wisconsin somewhere, new delivery date the 24th - 12 days late so far. I was hoping by some dumb luck it we be being unloaded when I pulled into the dealership to check.

I ordered a 2012 on 8/23/2011 and the dealer says there are no M&S tires in the system yet and cannot get a build date. Anyone hear of anything like this? Dealer has been real good to deal with and straight up as far as honestly...

M&S tires

When I ordered my truck they said there could be a problem with the raised white letter tires, but it wnet through OK. Did you order raised white letter?
mine will be here this week.

No.. Just ordered M&S blackwalls. According to the DORA sheet, the order was processed on 8/24/2011. I'm gonna try to call the dealer tomorrow to see if he found out anything.
