Does anybody have the Green Cold air kit or the Volant kit? If so, how is your experience with either of these products? One better than the other? Thanks.

Just from looking them up, I wouldn't even consider the Green kit. The volant kit has a somewhat promising look but I don't like the way the airbox shrouds the filter. I recommend that you stick with the proven Ford AIS or AFE stage-II with PG7.

Does the stage 1 AFE with pg7 give any amount of power and good filtration? I've read that the stage 2 has a problem with stall if you dont replace with compresser wheel is this true? Thanks for the reply.

Stall exists in all filter set-ups, it's just some you can't hear it. Any filter set-up that has a relatively open element and you will hear the stall/surge. I could even hear it with the side hole modded AIS but hardly at all with the side originally intact.

Hammer,
How is your AIS modified? Is it the foam shield? Just curious. I know that the AIS is awesome at filtration but i also want something that has a little umph and a good sound to it. Thanks.

I have a big giant square hole cut in the lower side closest to the fender. The 3.5" hole with the foam shield wasn't quite big enough. I was planning on using thick foam padding to seal the edges of the box with the fender but I think I will be upgrading to the AFE stage-II with PG7 shortly.

I'm running the the Stage 1 AFE w/ proguard 7 filter. As I've stated in other post, I like bringing in cooler outside air to the engine. As Hammer stated you'll get some stall, but a wicked wheel should fix it.
