I opened the hood today to check the oil, and what do I see through the nice paint on the intake....... a crack. I think that this is a common thing for the intake spyder to crack above the hypermax logo, but I would like more people's input on this matter. Aside from blasting the paint off of it and welding it up, what else can be done? Is this warrantied from Hypermax, it is only about 3 months old and I'm a little let down. I'd hate to have spent all of this money to have this keep happening over and over again.

thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Mine has been holding up for about 2 years. It is chromed, don't think that should help it hold up much better. I believe my H2E to be a very well made product. Maybe call up hypermax or the dealer you ordered it from and see what they have to say. Good luck.

If you have a dated purchase receipt you should have NO problem with a replacement claim. Hypermax has had this kit in production for many years, and I have personally never seen a cracked intake spider.

Now if you do not have any proof of purchase, then the best course of action would be to call Hypermax and ask to speak with Ron.

Ron or Max will help you out. As others have said, this kit has been in production for quite sometime, and they pride themselves on quality products.

Thanks guys. I hope I can get a new one without a hassle. Overall the kit is great, I was pretty happy with it, just not too happy to see a crack.
