I know it's off topic, but there were actually two 427's. The Yenko's were cast block with aluminum heads. The real limited COPO's (Central Office Production Order) were aluminum block and heads.
Well you are right and wrong Lol ! Most all Yenko engines were L-72 427 cast-iron Blocks which also Had iron Heads.The only way you would get aluminum Heads on a L-72 Iron Block is if Yenko put them on which he may had done a few But Not likely.Now The Aluminum Block and Head 427 you speak of is the L-88.It is Ultra Rare and not very many were put in 69 ZL-1 camaros and Corvettes.
