What's happening folks?

I would like to de-badge (remove emblems) from the EX. I am wondering if any of the emblems are attached to the truck through "rivet" type holes in the sheet metal, or are they just attached using adhesive? I don't want to pull any of these off to expose a "hole". Anyhow, any info would be appreciated. Also, if you have any photos of your vehicle de-badged send them in here.

Thank you.

I used a heat gun. Usually, just the badge itself comes off leaving most, if not all, of the adhesive behind. Pep Boys has a 3M adhesive remover that I use to finish the job. Apply a coat of wax, buff it out, and you're good to go.

Did you encounter any "holes" behind the badges?

I've removed them in the past. The best tool for the adhesive removal is the "3M-Stripe-Removal-Wheel". This tool attaches to a drill, and is just like one big circular eraser. I bought it at NAPA. I just don't want to pull any of these off and find any "mounting", and or "line-up" holes behind the emblems...

Hi 'Burn
I had mine replaced at the dealership when I pressure washed the black outline off the letters. It looked like the technician took a heat gun and heated the adhesive behind and took a plastic scraper-like tool and pried the old emblems off. There were two alignment holes in the sheetmetal of the fender. He took the new ones, peeled the adhesive backing off and snapped them into place. That's all there was to it, it looked like to me.... Good luck. Craig.
