I am having trouble with my ts 6 pos. flip chip. I installed the chip and when I switch it between the 100-140-high idle settings the truck would run rough and when you changed between them the water in fuel light and wait to start light would come on then go out. The high idle is at 2000 instead of 1100 where it should be.

The SES lite was on the whole time but when I scanned it to get the code it says no codes found and that the light should be off. I know I cleaned the computer good because before I had the edge stuff I had a diablo chip that had no trouble. I went ahead and cleaned it a little more just to be safe.

The chip box has the right computer code beside the tune numbers. I dont have the chip in now but the ses lite stays on. The truck runs great though. I put the edge back on and everything is like it was but the ses lite stays on the whole time. Any ideas. Bad computer?

Get a different burn for your chip,dp... TS sucks in my opionion... And always will, there customer service sucks after they sell you a chip.

Re-burn your chip, and see if you still have problems, take the TS-pos, out of the equation and save a lot of head aches!!

early 99's are funky sometime they do better with the correct ecm code instaled awa3 or you can try dac3 form a 2000 i know it works in some 99's

Your problem is they burned different codes for some or all of your settings, my high idle is burned XLE8 and turns 1100 rpm, my 75hp is NVK4 and Fuel 7 is NVK4, when i switch positions while the truck is running it does all sorts of funky stuff but quickly smooths out. Going from NVK4 program to XLE8 while its running i have no problems.

Yea I am not to worried about the chip. What I am worried about is that my check engine lite stays on all the time no matter what. I disconnected both batt. and let it sit and it still stayed on after I start it. I can scan it and it says no codes present but lite stays on. I never even backed the truck out of the shop with the chip in it. I took it out. The truck runs fine the way it is now.

It may run great with the chip in it but I didnt want to find out after what I have already seen. Has anyone with a DP or TS chip ever had this happen. I have installed several TS chips in trucks but mine is the only one that has screwed up(my luck). Thanks everyone.

The only time my SES light stayed on constanly was when my under valve cover harness was loose on the right side, no codes showed up for this either /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

When it come loose was the truck missing? It almost would have to be or was it just looses enough to make a little contact.

Yes it would miss sometimes then run normally /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

First thing re-clean the chip conncetion, most likely that is the probable cause. If not call TS, they are easy to work with and will make sure you get it fixed ASAP!.

The water in fuel light being on would indicate the wrong programs. Give us a call at the shop and we'll help you from there.

I agree, they are good ppl and I have never had any problems with my chip, i am very pleased with it!!

Geez Dozer, Your helpful /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Obviously it was your negativity that was the factor in the TS customer service.I have seen (as well as many others) how TS has gone above and beyond even after long periods of time to help fix any problems that someone might have.Im a small dealer and live not too far from this guy and Im willing to help fix at no charge if it includes a reburn than so be it.
Well make it right theres no doubt about that.

im also having some ts 6 pos chip issues i put it in today and the stock setting is fine the high idle shuts the truck off 50 hp is fine 100 hp is fine 140 hp idles extreamly roughf and feels really slow off the bottom end and dosnt really feel faster then the 100hp on the top end???
oh and i removed the chip and recleand it twice so im sure thats not the problem

any ideas?
