I've got the motor out, and heads off, and found out that one of the head alignment dowels is bent and broken. Anyone know where I can buy new ones? Search on Shucks/AZ and fordpartsonline.com yields nothing.

What I did on my old 87/6.9 was put some copper tubing in the place of the steel dowel that I tore up trying to get out of the head 5 years ago. I saw no reason why copper would be a problem and they are still in the engine to this day as a buddy has the truck........ Jim

Check the FORD dealer or search P/N E3TZ 6A008 A Dowel cylinder head 4 in a Package. This was for 7.3 but may be the same.

I just bought 4 of 'em a couple weeks ago from the local international dealer. They had 'em on the shelf, for about $15. They are out there....
