I know Wide Open had a price break on a couple of sets here awhile ago. I think he had a couple of sets laying around, may want to give him a call(801)233-1111 Ask for Zane. I am not sure if he has any but he might still have them. Thanks.

Not sure what Swamps is using but the ones DPS has stay away from. Most of the others all coem from the same place and are H-11 tool steel 260,000psi tensile strength.
The ones that Ken has at DPS are supposed to be H13 but whatever they are I sold a set and one busted, sent that set back to him and he he has yet to send that set to me or a refund, this is not the only set from him that I have heard of breakage from either. I feel as though my customer got screwed, he blew a hg teh day after he put his engine in due to a broken stud, I got screwed due to never seeing the studs or my money back and Ken will no longer return my phone calls. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I'll second that.
If someone says H-13 run. H-13 studs will get a slight bit more tensile strength but will fatigue much faster than H-11.

Thanks for all the info guys, one more question...Are these stud's made by Raceware? I know they have a excellent reputation. Oop's I ment ARP. Raceware was back when I had German cars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have no problems with the studs I got from David at DI.
I could not tell you if the are H11 or H13 or H9999999, I just know they looked good, wen't in good, torqued good and on the occasional 40 psi of boost, have held up fine.

Mine come from a vendor of my choice my design that fit perfectly and work great. ARP also makes them. Just some low life backdoored me.
So if you have them that look like mine do and you did not buy them from me,your welcome.

Do not buy the ones from Ken, lets just say this will be set two that broke. They were not my studs but a good friend's. The stud broke in the block and since they are so hardened you can not drill and tap them to get it out. So out came the engine after we just got finished putting it in and back off the the machine shop. $400 later The engine was back in. As for Ken it took 3 weeks to get a absolution to the situation and no offer to pay the machine work bill was done. What a crapy way to do business.
