I am getting ready to put in 02 headlights with an HID kit but I want to install the 02's first. I did the search and this is all I can find
http://forums.thedieselstop.com/ubbthrea...rue#Post2293795

I know this says how to do the two little tabs and I have 90 degree snap ring pliers which I have but are these long snap ring pliers or what? I have an early 99 but don't think there is any difference.

About the only way I can see is to take the front grill out then the structure (plastic parts that hold the headlight frame in place and move the frame forward to get better access to the tabs.

I can't even see the lower one but can see the top two but no way will my snap ring pliers fit down to get on those little holes.

Before I start to put the bi-xenons in I will need to be able to get these installed and removed so I am able to see how much room I have.

Ok Pat and the rest of you experts give me some ideas here.
Thanks

It has been so long since I pulled the lights out, I can't honestly remember what I had to do, but the lower fasteners were a PITA.

What are you doing for bi-x light source?

Pat:
I am finally getting time to get to this after doing my aftercooler on my BMW supercharger. I am using BMW e46 bi-xenons with a 4300K bulb and I have everything ready to go but wanted to do the install of the newer lights first to see what space I have so once I get the project going I will not make the lights sit too far back and interfer with the structure. Yeah I can't even see anything on the lower fasteners. Even the top onces are so close to the front frame I can't get my snap ring pliers in there.
Suggestions?
