Hey all,
the backlight for the panel my headlight switch is in on my 2002 went out. I was wondering what steps are required to replace it, I can't figure out how to take the assembly apart. The foglight backlight still works, just not the main backlight (behind auto, parking, and headlight symbols). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
regards,
Chase

Apparently, some of the headlight switches used a regular incandescent bulb, and SOME used a green LED. Im going to guess you have the bulb.

Remove the entire headlight switch from the dash. I believe on the 02's you just pull it out of the dash.

Unplug the wiring harness.

From the BACKSIDE of the switch, use small screwdrivers to GENTLY release the internal clips that hold the guts inside the outer shell.

Once you get it apart, you should see the bulb and either replace it, or possibly have to solder it out, and solder in a new one.

You may not get an answer. That post was over five years ago and DSD has not posted in two years.
