I love the Hypermax turbo I've got on my truck but one thing remains.

How the heck do I get this turbo to make its presence known sound-wise? I thought that maybe a mooseair system would fix this little problem, but I can't hear my turbo! I dont have the time right now to fab up something to the moose air.

FYI, I have the stock aircleaner on it with the soupbowl removed. And, I have been considering Hypermax's cowl induction kit that uses the vent holes in the cowl for cool air.

Anythoughts on how to unsilence this turbo?

It's nice to hear it, but keep in mind that the freq's are pretty high. I know, my "commutes" from Ca to TX leaves my ears ringing a little for a few days after I get to my destination. If I am not mistaken, the hypermax is a smaller displacement turbo compared to the wastegated ones. it souldn't be as loud. But if you want to hear it sing, get the cow indution kit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

get the cowl induction, i hear plenty of whistle- even more when the floor vents are open. also this seems to be a clean area to get air from, my k&n can go for 15k without showing any signs of dirt

I'd say the Moose Air setup increased my whistle by 50%. I can also hear it through the exhaust even with the muffler, but it's not that obvious. Listen.

I have a homemade ram air and I hear mine fine. I have recently removed the muffler and I still hear it even over the low roar.
