I am look for some advice. For years I have bought winter-rat vehicles, but they never last more than a few years. This coming spring through summer I have decided to build my own winter / off-roading vehicle with a turbo diesel engine. What I want to do is buy a 4X4 and swap out the engine and transmission with a turbo diesel. I need help on picking the body of the 4X4, I don’t care what it is just as long as the swap isn’t too much of a pain in the ass, so any ideas on vehicles? Jeeps, Blazers, Explorers, and so on
