I was working on a 95 PSD installing the Radio Shack exhaust brake. I reached in to release the locking clip of the connector, the brittle thing broke off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif

Does anyone have one of the connectors with a bit of lead wire available. I really don't want to jury rig it back together.

Thanks

Should be able to get one at your local parts place (like PEP Boys, AutoZone, etc.). Cheers!

Mine did the same thing. I was able to get a small tie wrap around the 2 halves of the connector to keep it on. If you get it adjusted just right, after you press the connection together it will snap over the 2 halves and act just like the original. No one but you will see so why try and cut and slice. That might actually create more problems than solve unless you solder the splices and shrink wrap each and the works to prevent corrosion.

Maybe it's just the workers at my stores, but none of the parts places seem to carry the harness clips anymore. this includes Napa, Pepboys, Carquest and Radioshack

Thanks to all.

Larry, I thought about zip ties and I just really don't like that on someone elses truck. Call it rear retentive or whatever. Figured since I already soldered the wire going to the EBPV, I might as well replace the clip. The other way to look at this is, "how many times are you under there pulling the connector off." Not often. Trade offs on both sides.

Thanks again.
