My truck drives fine unloaded. On the freeway when hooked to my 10k trailer it drives and shifts fine too, but when I'm offroad finding a campspot I have problems. If I have any sort of rock to go over going up hill or if I'm in a dip and dont have any sort of running start my truck barely has enough power to move. I have to floor the go pedal, boost climbs, and the engine is revving good, but I barely have enough power to move. I would think that my engine would have enough torque to climb right up and over the obsticle even with no momentum. This is also after the truck is warmed up so its not a backpressure valve that hasnt opened up.
My tranny temps climb quickly when revving the engine and trying to overcome the obsticle.
Are my clutch pads or the bands in the tranny slipping? Torque converter? Is the tranny getting weak and time for a rebuild?
BTW, stock tranny with 140k miles but I've only owned it a year.
