I have a three gauge pillar mount installed by DIS many years ago. I am trying to replace the dead ISSPRO tranny temp with a new one. There are three plastic inserts holding the pillar in place. I thought they could be easily popped out with a putty knife. They don't want to budge ane I don't want to break something I need for re-assembly. Do they come out or does the whole assembly pull away leaving them in place. Thanks. I just finished the AIS install and want to finish this today while it is warm and sunny. Bill

If you are talking about the push pins that hold the guage mount to the A pillar then they are a one time use only and usually have to be cut to get the guage mount off. Usually the guage is just mounted intot he mount by friction and nothing else so you may be able to just pull it out. I know that when I did mine the instructions told me not to use the hold downs that came with the guages.

Thanks Jim. I ripped them out and then found out the gauge could be pulled out. Glad I don't have to support myself doing this. Now if I can just get the new gauge it. Admin, you can close/delete this thread if choose.
