Yesterday my truck was fine I jumped up waited for the wait to start light to go off turned the key and the truck went dead no power or anything after messing with the colom and brakes i tried again and it turned over just fine no problems starting the rest of the day then this morning same thing everything fine turn the key and it went dead not even a crank. I checked the batteries there all good fuses and relays are fine i don't know what the issue is any ideas ?

You mentioned "column"; can we infer from that, that you have an automatic transmission? If so, try starting it in Neutral.

Is the shifter sloppy?

I had EXACTLY this problem a week ago. Turns out, when I disconnected both batteries and 'scrubbed' the terminals down, life was suddenly good.

check the connector at the starter, had similar problem, was broken and made contact once in awhile.
