I just received a turbo back system i got from e-bay.....new downpipe cat delete a 4" rest of the way with a muffler heres my problem....the system isn't quite right for my truck....its like 7" short just before the muffler....and to long coming out from the rear of the bed...so i'm going to cut the exess off the back take it to a muffler shop to see if they can expand it to go over the pipes shouldn't be to hard I HOPE.... also....i had all the pipes installed from the turbo to just before the muffler had to drive it home from my buddys till i can finish....#1 its got the wistle i can handle that #2 seems to lack alot of power cause there is no muffler???? for back pressure?

any idea why i feel a lose f power ? or maybe i just not used to the sound of no muffler and an opened up exhaust (new downpipe) would an exhaust leak at the turbo to downpipe make a difference?

the on i got has the holes facing the rear thats the way i had to mount it cause the hanger was already welded to it BUT i woulda had to fix that if it was the other way its not to loud now....just anoying cause it exits under the truck not to the rear hopfully get it ll together tomorrow ....SO...with what i did to the truck new down pipe and 4" rest of the way all it could do it make it faster right?

it does matter what u do after the turbo

the smaller the pipe the more back pressure and less air flow
the bigger the pipe the less back pressure and more air flow

smaller pipe gives quicker spool times than bigger pipe but will limit the higher rpms due to flow

the larger pipe will be a bit slower to spool but will allow more flow in the higher rpms

ok....i got all the exhaust up not....didn;t last night and i drove it alittle today i noticed that there was oil in one of the joints that i didn;t have clamped... what causes that???? also i feel like it has less power still reving the engine up in neutral revs up to like 2500 spits for a second then cleans out and gos higher any ideas on my problems????
p.s. disconected the battery while welding and got code 0603 when drove it

what about the oil in the pipe?
