I have a front end noise it sounds just like wore out down links. I just replaced down links and all the ball joints upper and lower. I also changed u-joints while I had it apart. Any suggestions I am leaving on a cross country trip tomorrow and it is driving me crazy.

Only when I hit bumps just like down links. I can almost swear one of the new ones are bad but I checked and they are both good.

Try greasing the drag link. It could also be bad ball joints.

I would suggest just getting under there and trying to push and pull on everything you can. There is really no telling.

Are the wheels locked in?

Sounds like your a dollar short and a day late.

Hope you have Triple AAA, and lots of Bens just in case.

Still have not found it. But that is the least of my worries. I blew a brand new rear tire while pulling my 12k fifth wheel RV in Stone Mountain Georgia. While getting it out of traffic and out of the way to fix it I ripped the roof pretty bad. Thank god I have USAA insurance on it. But I still have two weeks on vacation so keeping it dry will be fun. But keeping the wife off my a$$ will probably be tougher.

Hey there dad of six, sweet timing, huh? Congrats by the way and thanks for your service. My dad had 15 after MIT and returning from WW2 in the 101st. Maybe you will be giving him a run for the money.lol
So the blowout ripped your roof? USAA huh? Here they have like a 98 percentile that plan on staying for life. Do you know how they establish total outs and or similar replacement guidelines?
What are you calling " down links"? Your sway bar links? New and torqued to what value?
Take a close look by the shock stabilizer bracket areas and near by grag link area for sing spots of metal that indicate metal on metal contact. The end that is at axle bracket can get tweeked off road. That whole area is susceptible to contact if anything gets even a little out of whack. Make sure the bracket on other end is lined up ok and retighten U bolts if adjusting is needed.
