Well truck dosnt start, put in a new relay, no start, but kept hearing a loud clank other than the relay kickin in, so i pulled the flywheel cover and have a bud turn the key, i was able to see the drive gear of the starter moving making that loud clank, it seems to be wobbling off of center, it dosnt make any other noise, dosnt turn the flywheel at all, so im thinking that its shot would any of you agree before i pull it and order another? And any suggestions about where the best place to get one is, is there any better than oem avail. mine has lasted fine for 137k now. Well thanks again and have a good holiday everyone.

If it is not enaging the flywheel I would say it is shocked as to which one to get I don't know I would start checking prices if OEM was within reason I would probably do it. If not I would do a Napa Lifetime warranty unit. I don't like AutoZone or Advance for Alt or Starters, it's hard to get a good one. Last time took 4 starters to find a keeper.
