I've been asking the same question 6 time over the last 3-4 months. Never got an answer. Even sent an E-Mail to the webmaster. I never even specified a password when I entered the ad.

Is there a way to delete them ?????????

You have to click the delete add button and enter a password. I believe it is case sensitive so that may be John Raske's problem.

Jsing yours is that you did not set a password on the add so it is not going to be able to be deleted unless Jason can do it. Remember to set the password or else it will stay there until it gets bumped off.

I will see what I can do.

I have tryed typeing in the code word exactly as it came for logging on, with all caps, and all small letters, no good.

John,

I deleted mine so I know it is working. The problem is that there is no confirmation box for the password. Misspellings of what you thought the password was supposed to be can be an annoying result. I am betting that you may have misspelled the password accidentally and that is why you cannot edit it.

I sent an e-mail to Jason. Offering to clean up the Want ads section. I do not have current access to alter anything there as of now so I can't help you. I can only modify the forums. I appreciate the problems this ad can bring as a potential 4500 people e-mailing you on the availability of a product that has been sold weeks ago.

Sorry, I will try to do what I can..

I guess I need to add some code to make it so we can delete ads. Users also may not be aware that their password for these forums is not necessarily the same as the password for the ads .. they use two separate databases. If you don't specify a password, or don't remember the one you used when creating the ad, there is currently no way to delete them other than me going into the database itself.

Considering that I didn't have to use a password other than the one I used to log on with that shouden't make any diff,

I just went throught and cleaned up the incorrect and/or off-topic ads. I don't check it as often as I should since it self maintains at the end of the month. I added some code so I can easily delete ads now. If you have ones you want deleted, let me know.
