A week or so ago I took the cover off of my HFCM to clean the water in fuel sensor and I must have damaged the gasket putting it back on. I now have a slow leak coming from around the cover. Does any one know a good place to get a gasket maby online I am going to try the International dealer today but I doubt he will have one instock. Also is there any way to stop the flow of fuel when that thing is off??

Ended up ordering it from Ford Stealer for about $20 plus the $30 worth of diesel I will spill when doing the change.

That particular gasket is a one use only item. As soon as you took the cover plate off it was toast. Glad you got a new one.

Take the fuel cap off before opening the HFCM. This will greatly reduce fuel loss as the tank usually has pressure in it.

I am going to do the repair this week. It is not the initial flow of fuel it is that it just keeps comeing and comeing from the tank without ever stoping. I am going to take it down as empty as I can and see what happens then fill it up at home before I procede.
