I'm still learning about trucks and having this issue with my new(ish) truck.

I have a 2006 F-350 Dually 6.0 diesel. I'm running almost 200 degrees on both ECT and EOT with nothing in tow and hit 225 towing uphill for about 1 minute I took it to someone who is more of a diesel pro then myself and he started talking egr deletes and oil coolers. But I thought both of those where when there was a large Delta between EOT & ECT.

A friend of mine mentioned it might be my intake air temp. So I checked that and my IAT was 140 on an 80 degree evening. I have to think this is high.

If it is high, what do I do? It's got a non-stock air system. Also IAT jumped up 10 degrees when I stopped at a light which seems to support my IAT theory. What if the proper range for IAT?

Could it be that the AIT sensor is no longer hooked up to the aftermarket intake and is reading ambient air temps under the hood? 200 EOT is not high, 220 is not high towing. What were the coolant temps at those times?
