I have been reading the threads on the high idle mod and they all seem to be 05 and newer. Is the wiring there on an 04? The only time I would want it would be when I remote start it to warm up the cab in cold weather so would be wiring it through a relay off of one of the secondary circuits in the remote start. I have checked the pictures for the seic and cac circuits and can not find them where the pictures indicate, are they in a different place on the 04, or do they even exist?

You think that would work on an 05 that already does this automatically?, I like the idea of putting a switch on it.

Look at these. 05 and up is a little different. Basically you need to apply 12v to one of the high idle wires. The best way to get 12v to the high idle circuit is through your upfitter switches. Use the #3 or #4. They're 10amp circuits. #1 and #2 are 30amp.

Thanks to all for the appropriate links. I got it wired in and it remote starts on high idle and drops off when you turn the key on. Of course my continued "Murphy cycle" is still in high gear. I did all the wiring and remote started it and no high idle, the relay just buzzed. So I am thinking that maybe I needed to split the supply circuits, no help. I traced all the wires and checked everything with the DVOM only to find out that the new relay was defective.

AUTOPAGE C3-RS-730 alarm with remote start. Not as much range as some of the products on the market but plenty of range for me, I believe an honest 500 ft.with limited obstructions. Also it has the remote with the diaplay that reads what the truck is actually doing not what the remote is calling for. It has a programmable start delay so you do not need to find the trigger wire for the glow plug light. It does everything I need it to do for less money than other ones I looked at.
