i really want to make my truck sound awesome and this entire stock setup wont do me very good. i would really like to make some stacks for this but have no clue where to start. i was thinking maybe 4" tube up until the stacks go through the bed then have 5" tips. i at least want people looking at the truck from the side to not see any of the smaller tube and only the chrome stacks. but right no it looks like i have all the stock componets because my dad is a big fan of not tinkering with anything and since i own the truck now, i want to make it sound nice and look a lot better.

now i know this thread is 2 subject and is someone has a problem with it just speak up and i will delete one aspect and create a new thread. so i want to turbo charge this because it has no power compared to the powerstroke we have. i googled "diesel turbo kits" and came up with this ATS turbo kit and dont know if it will fit because in the area it talks about pricing it only lists the 7.3.

thanks you guys a lot for helping with my problems so far.

I'd look at the hypermax system, its cheaper. But I think the ATS system will fit your truck because at the top it says 6.9/7.3 IDI diesels.

Stacks are LOUD without a turbo. Very loud, trust me, I have 5" chrome stacks on my 6.9 non turbo. A dark picture in the gallery. Keep an eye on ebay, Thats where I found mine. I ran 2.5" pipe off the manifolds into 3" pipe and gradualy swelled it up to the 5" stacks. I also ran it true duals outside the frame and up into the bed. I made a bad mistake of not running mufflers on an interstate truck. Not cool. I dont think a bigblock 460 can produce the volume of sound coming from my twin stink pipes. So run mufflers if you plan on driving faster than 55 mph for more than a minute trust me. I do love the stacks for those pain in the butt tailgaters that just wont back off or go around.

research Banks, ATS & Hypermax for the turbo.

like Mudslinger, i went with true duals as shown IN THIS PIC.
duals: the front tank will get in your way unless you get creative. stacks: most guys run a single 3" into the bed & split them up there (try searching the photo section).
i haven't bit the bullet & gone for the stacks yet, & may go with sidepipes instead. as you can see, she's straight piped. so i can attest to the LOUDNESS... i want to incorporate some kind of free-flow mufflers when i finish the exhaust, but if you try the 'sewer pipes' & don't like the sound, it's easy enough to slap in a muffler afterwards.

Click the turbo article in my sig. Peruse my albums for stack and exhaust pictures. My stacks came from the Mack parts counter.
