July 9th – Saturday – BBQ and Camping at Lake Somerville
Like last year, HAPS will be in the area of the pavilion (GP1) at Rocky Creek Park. The closest camping spots are numbers 196 - 203. These spots are available for rent (first come basics) through www.reserveusa.com. HAPS will make a long day/weekend of BBQ'ing, boating and swimming. There will be lots of shade under the trees and tents. Bring the family, friends, boats, jet ski's and campers. Lake Somerville is just over an hour from NW Houston. It is easy to make a day trip out of it.
Do bring your own drinks and chairs.
When:
July 9th, starting around noon.
Where:
Lake Somerville's Rocky Creek Park Pavilion Area
Directions:
From Houston or Austin take US 290 to Brenham. Follow Hwy 36 north 11.5 miles to FM 1948. Turn left on FM 1948 and go about 5 miles to the park entrance
