I noticed what might be a crack developing on the left side of my driver's seat. 9,500 miles on my truck. Is anyone else seeing premature leather failure? Thanks.
How about a brand name?I have 35K now and no problems but I condition mine about every 3 months with leather cleaner containing mink oil. Still looks great.
Its made by Liquid Glass and called Leather, Vinyl, and Rubber Protectant with Mink Oil.How about a brand name?

Note that automobile leather seating is very different from KR leather. KR leather is more like real "saddle leather" (though apparently varies between MYs) while "automobile leather" is generally sealed with a plastic like top layer. So, what works well for cleaning/conditioning/repair for one type generally does *NOT* work for the other type.Anyone have thoughts on lexol? Guy at orileys said it was way better than armor all leather care(which is all used on my last truck and it was great) What about the king ranch leather cleaner from ford?

To add to that, If you live near the sea watch out also for the sea breeze. If you live near the jungle be careful of humidity. Both of these will cause the leather to flake in addition to cracking.watch out for the sun this will crack them.
Yes, and if you live in an urban environment, watch out for the flakes on crack who will *steal* your leather seats. To add to that, If you live near the sea watch out also for the sea breeze.
